The vision of the University City Church of Christ is to equip God’s family to seek and save the lost, and to live holy lives by His Word.
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” — Acts 2:42 (NIV)
UCCC’s 2023-2024 Sunday night small study groups are held October 15 through April 21 on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month.
We were so encouraged by our time the last two years, and hope you’ll make your plans to continue your participation. If you did not participate last year, please be encouraged to find a group and get involved. The spiritual feast, as well as the fellowship opportunities, are immeasurable.
The auditorium group will meet at the usual time of 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings. Meeting locations for other small groups are posted in the hallway.
The material for this year comes from David Holder (Shaping Hearts for God). It is titled, “Encountering Jesus: Lives Moved & Shaped by Jesus.”
From the introduction: “Jesus walked and talked among people. Everywhere He went, people were drawn to Him. He taught with authority, like He knew what He was talking about, which, of course, He did. He worked miracles, restoring what people had lost; He healed the sick, cast out evil spirits, and raised the dead. Jesus made Samaritans heroes, touched lepers, and ate with tax collectors. He overturned merchants’ tables in the temple and rode into Jerusalem on a donkey’s colt. He sparred with the scribes, silenced temple guards sent to arrest Him, and exposed the Pharisees. From early morning until late at night, people encountered Jesus, and no one could ever be sure of the outcome. He touched hearts and changed lives, and now, enthroned at God’s right hand, He still does.”
The other Sunday evenings follow our usual schedule.
